Donatus Richard currently holds a senior management position as the Head of Business Banking at the NMB Bank Plc in Tanzania. NMB Bank is the largest commercial bank in Tanzania, both in assets, capital base and branch network (230+). Donatus is presently responsible for a team of over 400 employees across the NMB Bank network servicing Micro, Small and Medium companies. Also on some occasions he has been acting in the position of Chief Retail Banking within the same bank.
Donatus is a seasoned banker with more than 15 years’ experience in credit and many other disciplines of banking such as Corporate Banking, Credit Risk management and Financial Analysis. He attended a number of Global and Regional SME forums in Germany, Spain, Netherland, South Africa and Kenya.
Donatus holds an MBA from the University of Botswana, a Certified Professional Banker (CPB) from Tanzania Institute of Bankers and a BA (Hons) from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
