SME Impact Fund makes finance accessible to agri-SMEs

Agriculture is Africa’s most important sector. Small and medium sized agribusinesses are the backbone of livelihoods and employment for most Africans and the engine for economic development. Yet, these small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) have limited access to financial services because they are either too small to access traditional banking services or too big to benefit from microloans. SME Impact Fund closes this financing gap for rural agri-SMEs by providing loans - working capital and investment capital. Finance will be combined with technical assistance to strengthen the capacity of the SMEs. This way SMEs can grow and are able to play a key role in connecting smallholder farmers to regional, national and export markets where food crops can be sold. It increases sustainable employment and income for all players in the value chain. Moreover, our rural agri-SMEs contribute to gender inclusion, food security and improved rural livelihoods of thousands of people.

SME Impact Fund is managed by Match Maker Fund Management
